Sam Khan nj is a compassionate conservative, who became the first South Asian candidate to run for Mayor in Edison, the 5th largest town In New Jersey. Sam migrated to the United States in 1993 to pursue his post-graduate studies and quickly fell in love of the freedom, liberty, and opportunity offered by the greatest nation in the world. Sam has a master’s degree in Life Sciences and can speak 5 languages including English and Spanish. He is a strong supporter of higher education and believes a good education opens doors for up-and-coming citizens.

AS A POLITICIAN
Sam first began his political career in 2011 by joining the Republican Party. In 2011 Sam Khan ran for Edison Council Elecon. He is a compassionate conservative, who became the first South Asian candidate to run for Mayor in Edison, the 5th largest town in New Jersey. He described himself as “I’m a more viable candidate than my fellow republicans running in the Edison Mayoral Primary for one simple reason: I can build a winning coalition to elect the first Republican mayor of Edison in recent memory.
My work with the south Asian community (nearly 43% of Edison’s entire population) has allowed me to share the Republican philosophy with many of my friends and neighbors who normally vote democracy or do not vote at all. Despite 9 out of 10 south Asian voters registering as Democrats, conservatism resonates with them.

Sam Khan is also the founder and president of the American Muslim Council.
The American Muslim Council (AMC) is a New Jersey-based organization that promotes Muslim civic in the United States of America, AMC is Bipartisan and works with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Empower the partition Muslim Voices in American Politics, to organize the American Muslim communities in the mainstream public affairs, civic discourse, and party politics all across the United States He is a well-known South Asian and Muslim Community Activist. As the Chairman, Sam Khan’s vision is the empowerment of the Muslims in American Polics and promotes Muslim civic parcipaon in the United States of America.
